Established in 2012 by two entrepreneurs who identified the critical necessity to understand the true and immediate state of health of functioning lead acid batteries.

It was clear that millions of ZAR were being wasted and immeasurable harm discharged on our environment as a result of the unnecessary disposal of lead acid batteries.

We knew that the right combination of technology and service would save time, money and countless risk while contributing positively to our beautiful planet.

Intense research and development, testing various products for their efficacy and accuracy, led us to our current best of breed technology and partners, launching our journey towards providing a truly unique ProActive Maintenance Service offering – never seen before in Africa.

Our sister company, Ampoule Energy Systems, focuses on developing hardware and software solutions for monitoring, managing and tracking batteries into local and international markets. AES strives to deliver cost effective tools which add the best possible value to our clients’ battery ecosystems. 

Our locally developed wireless continuous monitoring device, BattMon, strives to deliver cost effective CM value by only charging for the functionality a client needs i.e. not paying for unnecessary “bells and whistles”.

Our intelligent battery asset management software, BattMan, combines current and historic data (from our services) with an operational and inventory management suite – driving true lifecycle management, improved strategic decision making and lowered total cost of ownership.
