State of Health assessment
This unique service aims to identify:
- Client battery capacity at an individual battery level
- Client battery integrity, including;
- Internal defects
- Defective accessories
- Environmental anomalies
Our Electro Chemical analyser technology accurately measures the leading indicators of Sulfation and Dryout within individual batteries. This data enables clients to react early to those batteries requiring intervention – saving time, money and risk.
We use Fluke Thermal Cameras to check and record any heat anomalies within the battery environment. Heat anomalies point to potential faults in the battery, cabling, HVAC or power supply to the ecosystem.
The non-intrusive Electro Chemical, Thermal Camera and Connector tests can be performed on-float without any disruption or downtime to the client’s power environment. The process takes mere seconds per battery – permitting large scale testing.
The skilful art of electrolyte balancing has proven very successful in reconditioning batteries back to maximum performance. This is only undertaken in flooded batteries and is never recommended for any type of sealed battery. Specific gravity can be a tricky balance when reconditioning a battery. We use digital hydrometers to save time and increase frequency and accuracy of SG testing – to ensure that SG levels are returned to optimum.
Battery assets are tagged for easy identification during the reporting and remedial process as well as for future service reporting and tracking.
The service can be tailored for the screening of incoming battery purchases prior to commissioning. This further improves performance and life expectancy of batteries as defective units are identified prior to installation.
Our service professionals will document every aspect of the environment and present this data to the client. This data can be used for regulatory purposes, stock controls purposes or as a fully documented, step in the pursuit for a fully managed battery ecosystem.
